Let's create an ECO Christmas! Event

Every year, millions of people celebrate Christmas by buying new decorations, lights, trees, gifts, etc. Huge quantities of plastic that are then discarded are produced to cover this great demand. It is then when consumerism and vanity overshadow Christmas, a Christian feast in which the birth of Jesus Christ is celebrated in a very humble place: a manger. The true meaning of Christmas is to share with our families and with those who have less. Christmas is a celebration of love, peace, and happiness. No matter how much you have or buy, the important thing is to be happy and with your loved ones.

However, this does not mean that we celebrate Christmas without decorations or trees, there is a great way to do it without falling into excessive consumerism that leads to the absurd pollution of the environment: recycling different materials and turning them into beautiful Christmas decorations.

This time I would love to share with you all the Christmas decorations I made from recycled materials.

First, I made small Christmas trees using old books and sheets of paper that I used at school and high school. This is a wonderful way to give a second use to the old books, notebooks, and sheets of paper we have at home.

Seventh, I wrapped a gift I gave to my dad with a shirt I found at a thrift store.

Finally, I would love to share with you the Christmas tree my sister made with a fallen dry branch we found in a forest (for the stem) and plastic bottles (for the leaves).

I hope that next Christmas we stop consuming excessively and buying disposable things and start recycling and reusing the materials we have at home. We can make beautiful decorations with simple materials.

I also made a video with all the decorations I created.
