An Eco-Friendly Christmas

by Siana Avila Mendonca | 31-12-2022 21:39 recommendations 0

It's the time of Christmas, and everybody¡¯s first step to getting into the Christmas spirit is decorating a Christmas tree. So many trees are cut solely during December only to be put up in houses for a couple of days and then thrown away.

So my first thought was why not make a tree, but eco-friendly?

Therefore I came up with a Christmas tree made from reusing an old magazine.

For the decorations, I use cut-outs of the Lindt chocolate wrapper, excess old stickers, and the star is made from scraps of gift wrapping paper.

The base is an old paper box.

And this is my way of celebrating an eco-friendly Christmas.

The carbon footprint of a typical 2 m natural Christmas tree is about 16 kg of CO2 and about 120 million are cut each year!
This seems to be a very innovative idea! Unknowingly, so many of us cause harm to nature while celebrating Christmas. It's amazing to see conscious efforts to stop this.
