Use, Reuse and Recycle

by | 31-12-2013 23:16 recommendations 0

While I was taking a class of grade 8, I had to teach them about the food chain and food web. In the chapter there the grasses were eaten by grasshoppers, the grasshoppers by the frogs, the frogs by the snakes and the snakes by the eagles. When the eagle dies it would be decomposed back into the soil and thus there existed a chain among the creature of the earth. It strikes me back with the message that energy can neither be created nor be destroyed and can only be transformed from one form to another.

In the same way in our day to day life we come across different items of use. Things that are of plastics, tins, metals and so on. And here again the best thing to save the energy is to use, reuse and recycle the items.
We buy the items and use it, right then it should be reused so that we shouldn't buy the same item again, eg., plastic bottles. After the reuse the items can be recycled and made into a different item and thus used again. This save the earth from being its resources over exploited, saving energy and money.

Well said Shankar, there's a famous TV show in Korea which tries a week without any trash. It's really hard to make no waste during a week and it makes us feel something. Well, you and your friends can also try like 'a day without waste' too. :-)
