Dubai is set to host The World Green Economy Summit (WGES) on April 15 and 16.

The theme ?Global Partnerships for Sustainable Future?, the summit will see the participation of prominent experts from energy, finance and business sectors, in addition to government leaders, international organisations and the private sector.

The fact that the private sector plays a remarkable role in the transition into a green economy.

 Hosting the World Green Economy Summit in Dubai enhances the position of the UAE as a global hub for exporting and re-exporting green products and technologies and Dubai as global gateway of investment and green trade.

The summit will be held in conjunction with the next session of Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition, WETEX 2014.

The summit aims to promote capacity building and highlight effective policies, legislation and new opportunities for leading businesses supporting the transition to a green economy.
