Operation Diaper extract!

by | 27-02-2013 18:05 recommendations 0

Diapers. got me thinking yesterday, you know alot parents prefer and use diapers for babies alot its only logical, its the only baby doodle protector there is right?
Think about this, i recently found out that in Copenhagen waste collection they said 20% of their waste accounts for diapers and that they don't know what to do with it yet. of course, its not only Copenhagen i believe the whole world is faced with this dilemma most especially here in Zambia. we know diapers i made out of plastic and again its only logical, plastic is the only material that can seal in or contain the contents of a diaper but it got me to think if there could be some people out there who could challenge this logic and make an Eco-diaper, a diaper that is biodegradable, that can decompose to nutrify the soil. maybe even recycle who knows...

Wish there would be more awareness about this - like a statutory warning on the packet.

Yep! We could use diapers made from biodegradable plastic just like you said. We also use fabric diapers in Korea. Some moms prefer it over plastic ones becuase it's not only eco-friendly, but doesn't cause allergies and irritations...
