Plastic into Insurance A private insurance company has a program where plastic trash is exchanged for insurance. The reason for this program is to help emerging consumers in accessing an insurance protection with an easy method and cheap price. Two kilogram of plastic bottles equals one insurance payment. The number of plastic that are collected will then be coordinated to the nearest trash bank to be managed and separated for recycling. The private company who has this program, Alianza, is collaborating with a digital application, My Smash, in order to support the operational activity that a trash band does in all of Indonesia. This collaboration serves as a new canal distribution in giving insurance protection to the people that are the client of trash bank. |

Hello Ida
I didn't know there is such an effective insurance program. Social responsibility regarding to the environment is getting more and more important, and this insurance program seems to be a very creative one. This kind of program will make many people aware of the environmental issues. I hope more and more programs like this is generalized throughout the industry.
Thank you for the great report.

Hello Ida!
This is your mentor Lisa:)
I have never heard of exchanging plastic for the insurance! This is very interesting.
I want to know more about it! It would be great if you could write in detail about the two companies that you have mentioned here in your next month's report. Can these companies sustain with this business model? Is there enough profit to guarantee these companies to continue on? I have so many questions!!!
In which country is this business taking place? I would love it to be in my own country as well!!
Thanks for sharing a super interesting topic! I really enjoyed reading it!
Keep up the good work:)
