Hi everyone! My name is Lisa Zaretskaya. I would like to draw your attention to my report related to the topic of Sustainable Development and school education. In this report, I want to talk about the last event in our school. This event was dedicated to environmental issues and sustainable development. Our class held it almost at the end of June. We discussed environmental issues, sustainable development and school education, and what role can teen diplomats play in promoting of all these matters. Then we talked about three current events in the world that Taiwanese should play close attention to and explain why there are important t us. One group of our classmates commented on an international issue that Taiwanese people should be more concerned about (such as human rights, climate change, energy, food security, terrorism). People in Taiwan should take these issues more seriously. We also talked about the opportunities and challenges of globalization for the world and Taiwan, and how can Taiwanese youth stay competitive amid this wave of globalization. And as a global citizen, how important do we think international etiquette is? The last question we discussed was – what role can new media play in our efforts to promote environmental protection. Our last event was interesting, useful, fun. I hope that next school year we will continue our work to save the planet. Thank you for your attention. |

I am happy to see such event was organized in the campus, and I bet all the participants enjoyed this event and inspired each other. I am delighted to see that you guys actually discussed really in-depth questions such as 'hat role can new media play in our efforts to promote environmental protection. It's really amazing how an event dedicated to environmental issues and sustainable development was conducted for the youth at your school. Also, I like how the topics discussed were used to teach teenage diplomats so as to become well equipped.

It's great that students had time to discuss environmental issues and sustainable development in the school. By talking about current global events that people should pay attention to, students would not only learn about the importance of sustainable development but also cultivate global citizenships. Hi Lisa! Thank you for the interesting report! In my opinion, Russian schools do not pay enough attention to education in the field of sustainable development goals. And in Taiwan, I see this program has found its application.
