Sustainable tourism is the concept of visiting somewhere as a tourist and trying to make a positive impact on the environment, society, and economy. Ecotourism and sustainable development are directly related to one another. Sustainable tourism includes all kind of sustainable development like transportation, nutrition, entertainment, natural resources, etc. In context of Nepal, one of the country rich in natural resources has made a plan of #visitnepal2020 focussing on sustainable tourism. Tourism has a great impact on country environment and economy. Considerations on tourism impact on climate change, transportation and other resources has to be made prior before the year 2020. Focussing on it, Nepal is undergoing road construction projects that reaches to corner of remote areas. However, great percentage of work is still left behind but the initiation is marked. Moreover, focussing on poverty eradication; people are being trained to the income generating activities like as a tourist guides or some other way. Women are being empowered for their handicrafts, wooden crafts and other enriching activities that is almost in the verge of extinction. For accommodations, people are practicing to make an environment where people can easily connect with natural view constructing mud house or introducing camping rather than tall buildings. In addition to this, natural resources are being conserved and protected with certain sustainable ideas. People aren't dependent on government for every activities, they are working on themselves. They are rich in ideas and what was lacking is implementation but now this is also being fulfilled. Whatever the work they are carrying out is in the favour of environment and protection of natural resources for present and for future. In this context, I have also visited to observe enriched Himalayas. Hills and mountains are rare view for the people like me who lives in plain area. During my holidays, with my friends I made visit to one of the most visited place inclined to tourism i.e. Ghandruk at an altitude of 2,999 meter. The place though is in very height and development is very difficult but the way people are using their ideas and locally available resources is entirely praiseworthy. The feeling of being connected to nature in real was unexplainable. Those paved roads, distinct aroma of the air, organic foods, enriched culture, hospitality surrounded by beautiful mountains; how can I explain all those eye catching views in words. Taking the opportunity, I also introduce tunza among some people whom I met there during the process of taking photos. This is my one of my beautiful activities and is blessed upon to get connected with this nature. From this platform, I invite you all to Nepal and make ecotourism a success; #visitnepal2020. It's quite difficult task to gather people for sustainable development activities since most of the people have been money minded and are unaware of sustainable development but sustainable tourism not only generates income but also make the people connected with nature. That's why, it has been quite easy task. |

Hello Asmita! I am impressed with the content of the report and the photo! Nepal, the Himalayas are the pearl of the world, so the topic you are considering in your report is particularly relevant.
It would be desirable for as many countries as possible to be involved in eco-tourism and thus contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals.
Good luck in everything!
