My self-started club has finally implemented a plastic recycling program at our school. In my opinion, this is a massive step for us in doing our part in helping the environment. We had to get approval from our school board, so it took a lot of time to implement, but now we have finally put the recycling bins out. Before we could get permission from the school, I personally contacted our county¡¯s (in America, a county is bigger than a city but smaller than a state) recycling program and garbage collectors and asked them if we could start a recycling program. Once I got their approval, I requested them to give us recycling bins and to send us their collection. We created a schedule for people to volunteer to check the recycling bins and put them out on days of collection. I encourage all of the inspiring ambassadors reading my report to take similar actions to start recycling at your school.
We are also planning to spread our recycling goals to other schools in the Atlanta area. Our school is almost a pilot program to see what we can do better in the future. On average, humans use 170 plastic bottles, according to Ban the Bottle. We have over 1700 students in our school, and 250 teachers, administrators, and parents at the school. Since we have approximately 80 days left in the school year, we could save approximately 4000 pounds of plastic. This would save 5500 liters of water, and immeasurable amounts of fossil fuels and emissions. One of our club¡¯s long-term goals is to start plastic recycling at every school in our Dekalb County which has over 100,000 students, and the Atlanta area, which almost has 1 million kids.

Hello Aaditya, trying a new method to deal with something that you are trying to get is not an easy task.
Though you took quite a lot of time to do so, it is still good to learn that you have achieved it at last :)
Good to see your effort and result as always.
Keep up with your work!

Hello Aaditya
It must have needed much effort to get every approval and to prepare the pre-needed materials.
Great initiative and keep going on!
Green cheers on the plastic recycling program :)
