Today ,Magh 16th as per Nepali calemder we
celebrateMarty day here in Nepal to give tribute to the great personalities that expensed their lives for shake of nation.Lakhan Thapa is considered as first Martyr of Nepal.
Similarly Dharmabhakta mathema sukraraj sastri Dasaratha chand and Puspalal Shrestha are considered major marty of our land as they were sentenced to death for thier voice for the shake of nation! Krishnalal adhikari was sentenced to death because he wrote a book "Cultivation of Maize"which was thought a symbol against Rana Regime. Marty's gave their blood and toil to eradicate Rana Regime and bring about Democracy in the country! Happy martys day to all Nepalese !! My birth place Ramechhap is know as three lals because Marty's 1.puspalal 2.Gangalal 3.krishnalal were born here! |
