Several issues need to be addressed in order to make space cleaner, such as minimizing pollution, removing space debris, and engaging in responsible space activities. Here are some potential solutions to these problems: ¡¤ Improve space surveillance systems to accurately track smaller debris and enable spacecraft to maneuver and avoid potential collisions. ¡¤ Encourage companies and space agencies to reduce waste and debris produced during launches, such as by fewer rocket stages remaining in orbit. ¡¤ Create reusable launchers and spacecraft to lessen the demand for frequently launching and manufacturing novel technology. ¡¤ Investigate greener propulsion techniques that result in fewer hazardous byproducts when moving satellites. ¡¤ Global cooperation is needed to create rules and regulations for space traffic management, including coordinating satellite launches and maneuvering to avoid collisions. ¡¤ Raise awareness among the general public of the need for a clean space environment and the possible effects of space debris. This may encourage responsible behavior on the part of spacefaring countries and businesses. ¡¤ Offer educational initiatives and programs to encourage the upcoming generation of space professionals to give sustainability a high priority in their work. ¡¤ For responsible space activities, debris mitigation, and end-of-life disposal, establish international rules or standards. ¡¤ Investigate novel approaches, such as the use of low-cost, small satellites with deorbiting equipment to clear space debris. ¡¤ Create and use materials that deteriorate over time in the environment of space to reduce the presence of debris over the long term. ¡¤ Create spacecraft and satellites with modular parts that are simple to remove, repurpose, or safely discard. ¡¤ Establish certification procedures for satellites and spacecraft that, like environmental certifications on Earth, attest to compliance with space sustainability standards. ¡¤ A multifaceted strategy involving international cooperation, technological innovation, legislative action, and a dedication to ethical space operations will be needed to address the problem of a cleaner space environment. |

Hello Lhamu! This is your mentor James.
I agree that we should minimize space pollution and engage in responsible space activities. Space pollution is a problem related not only to the current generation but also to the future generation, and it is necessary to look at it from an ethical perspective of intergenerational justice. As you mentioned in the report, creating a clean space environment requires a multilateral strategy that includes commitment to international cooperation, technological innovation, legislative action and ethical space operations.
Thank you for your fantastic work! Let's keep it up with your next report as well.
