In the first week of July, 'EcoSaveClub(http://ecosaveclub.blogspot.kr)', the one I co-founded with my friends from other international schools in Korea and abroad, launched the first local community workshop, targeting young local children age from 6 to 10.
Our goal is teaching pressing environmental issues to young children so they are able to contain knowledges from early age, tackling bigger challenges when they grow up. We started from an issue children could easily get connected with, "Endangered Species". Our group member presented issues with children friendly PPT, then as an individual group, taught two to three children in details. Then, we let the children study deeper about the issue on the spot, then make them present themselves, and finally reward their efforts with goody bags. The first workshop's feedback was quite positive, we members were very much encouraged to prepare for the next one.

Great job Alberta Yoo. Keep it up! This is a great way to teach children. I think they obey you more when they are young and they will remember the things you tought them and will take good care of the environment in the future)

Glad to know that you co-founded EcoSave club. This kind of community workshops to spread awareness on urgent issues like environment, are very important and indeed lay green foundation for students at young age. I like the way children are cutely leaning towards the laptop to see and read the contents with interest. Thanks for sharing. Keep up the good work.
