The Ernakulum District Energy Conservation Forum organized and observed Earth Hour on a massive scale. A walkathon titled 'Walk for Mother Earth' was organized, from Durbar Hall grounds from 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm. The walkathon took a circular route covering all the major junctions of the
Thereafter there was a talk on the importance of saving energy by eminent personalities, Several prominent personalities, including ministers, judges, bureaucrats, and cine stars participated in the event. A pledge to conserve energy was taken at 8.30 pm in candle light
The event was inspiring and provided an opportunity for every individual, organization and government to be part of the solution for the global crisis. Back in U.A.E with a sense of fulfillment, I can say that no matter which part of the world you are during Earth hour, be a part of it and inspire others to do so.
