The World Health Organization states that small particulates called PM 2.5 should not be exceeded 25 micrograms per cubic meter of air. This week, the number goes off the chart in Beijing, 526. It is more than 20 times the WHO's air quality standard.
Chinese billionaire entrepreneur, Mr.Chen Guangbiao comes up with a humourous(?)idea to deal with environmental issues in China. Selling fresh air in a can.
He recently has an interview with ABC News, America, regarding his canned air products.
He says, " If we don't pay attention to environmental protection, in 10 years every one of us will be wearing gas masks and carrying oxygen tanks on the streets. By that time, my canned fresh air will be a necessity for household."
Each can is sold about 80 cents($) and comes with three flavors: Pristine Tibet, Post industrial Taiwan & Revolutionary Yan'an. Mr.Chen claims the air is from Nepal. The can is slightly bigger than a can of Coke and you will get three solid breaths. The profit will be donated to charity though.

It's a creative idea! It would be great if he really donated the profit... though I'm a bit doubtful ^^
But I don't want to imagine that we could have to use these cans and gas masks in the future.. That's horrific! I guess we should take stronger action before that really happens.

There are conflicting report regarding the profit. He mentioned the money would go to the charityhowever, other news agencies coverage states the profit would not be going to the charity and talks about ingenuity of business mind in this dire situation. So we will see..^^
