Hello, As usual, I begin my post with an apology. I explained the reason for my absence via e-mail to the admin. Now to my article. I have talked to quite a lot of people about the enviroment most especially tennagers like me and most at times, the response I get would either be ridiculous or 'I-Don't-Care' in nature. It makes me wonder why people are very insensitive to the very thing that holds us all together despite our differnces in ethnicity, religion et al and I mean mother nature. I am really worried for the future if the people living in this genertion. cannot hold it in one piece.I am also worried about the fact that feel that it is only the job of environmentalists to take care of the environment.As for me, I would keep on putting relentless efforts into making sure that everyone hars it loud and clear "IT IS UP TO ALL OF US TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT WE LIVE IN"

@Nkenu, I think it's the matter of education. The people you met are not well aware of how serious the situation is. They probably don't know about deadly consequence of our irresponsible, consumer life style. So, it's our sacred duty to raise awareness on the environment among people around us.

I can understand your disappointment upon seeing this "dont care " attitude but my dear , let's not get disheartened by this. Let's continue working towards it , continue spreading awareness. May be -you should change the strategy . Through role plays , or by showing movie etc , we need to convince such people that if they dont care now , it will be too late and we won't get enough and quality resources(air , water and land) to survive.
