Green the Gene is an international youth run organization, founded by a small group of youth, concerned, passionate and determined to do something about the environment and the society. It started out as an environmental club in 2004 and since then, over the past 11 years, our campaigns, grassroots organizing, projects, events and mass public actions are being led from the bottom up by students and youth from schools and universities in 62 countries, through whom Green the Gene is successfully building a global grassroots movement for environmental change across the world. Green the Gene is the world's largest completely youth-run (everyone is under the age of 24) environmental non-profit.
