The humanity is craving for PEACE and SUSTAINABLE Living-

As said by Wangari Maathai, I quote- In a few decades, the relationship between the environment, resources and conflict may seem almost as obvious as the connection we see today between human rights, democracy and peace.

Our school- The Millennium School took the initiative to spearhead and spread awareness about the Dubai International Peace Convention 2012, aiming Global Unity through Peace, amongst students by distributing information leaflets.  Dubai International Peace Convention primarily aimed to provide education among the people that can promote peace, understanding and harmony. 

The world that we live in was designed to be a peaceful place by our creator through submitting our will to His commands. However when we look around at our surroundings we see that a majority of humans are chained in agonies, misery, distress, anguish, wars, conflict, fighting, hate, injustice, revenge, hostility and several other social animosities.

What is the real and absolute source of this peace?

How to achieve this state of peace?

How can this state of peace be everlasting?

To get definite and un-ambiguous answers to these questions and much more, I visited the specially designed SALVATION Exhibition under the theme of PEACE, at the DIPC 2012, that took place from April 12 to 14^th , 2012 at the Dubai International Convention Centre, Dubai.

The generous guidance of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai reflected the deep faith of Leadership to spread Peace around the world. Peace on a personal and a global scale is the need of every individual and creation that exists around us and the same is sought for human success and progress.

Bringing everyone on the same level of understanding about peace can inculcate pure thoughts that reflect in an individuals personality - this convention thus aimed towards enlightening the people of the world with the knowledge endowed to us by the one God who defined, created, and elaborated what peace really is and the means to achieve it. Unlike any other conference that would target a particular segment – this convention invited people from all walks of life and different beliefs, honoring all those who contributed in the maintenance of world peace, development of peace and stability in the world, encouraging initiative and excellence in global peacekeeping and promoting dialogue .  The role of media and personalized sms that followed to spread awareness cannot be ignored.

There was a Kids Corner offering delightful activities to thrill Kids from age 5 to 14  under supervision by trained volunteers with educational cartoon shows, competitions, games and painting activities to ignite their creativity – and their favorite food to recharge the energy of their busy bodies! At the magnificent Animal Zone, children could see live animals and be awed by the breathtaking creations of the Almighty God.  A Bazaar was also part of the Convention.
