12 Million in The Food Web

by | 01-09-2014 00:05 recommendations 0

You may learned about Food Web where we show how producers create a chain which ends by decomposers. Isn't it?

As the international organization Oxfam describes: 12 million people are in dire need of food, clean water, and basic sanitation. Loss of life on a massive scale is a very real risk, and the crisis is set to worsen over the coming months, particularly for pastoralist communities.

Why 12 million people are in dire need of food, clean water and basic sanitation? Isn't this because there's something wrong with food web because we're completely dependent to environment.

Survival, development and evolution is three main part of an environment. Many species are already crossed extinction and many species are in queue waiting for their extinction in which Human has became part of it.

Different regions has different food culture just because of their surrounding environment else, the whole world be eating same dish. Survival would not be at the height of this difficulty if previous line would be correct.

What's the reason behind dire need of food, clean water and basic sanitation? Is it because of climate change, industrial revolution, politics, or something else? Or, maybe it's because of blame-game.

We'll discuss this in Model NGO conferences to come up with great solutions.

It is really a matter of concern that 12 million people are in dire need of food, clean water, and basic sanitation. There are multiple reasons behind this ,Balraj. Like Inflation in food prices , food wastage , ir-responsible waste disposal attitude , lack of priority from governments and concerned authorities. Govts talk about big things when basic sanitation is not available to so many people globally. Indian PM Narendra Modi has started raising the issue of sanitation at global level. Infact he has planned multi-million dollar sanitation project to tackle this issue. Likewise other governments too should start acting on it rather than ignoring or only talking about it .

Thanks for highlighting it through your report , Balraj.

12 million hungry souls is a depressing number Balraj. Let's pray that earth produces enough to feed all.

Food web is probably the most amazing thing that nature made. It's full of complexity and perfect balance that we can never understand. We, seriously, shouldn't be greedy and ruin the whole cycle. Thanks for sharing:)
