A little effort on Earth day to save birds in hot

by | 24-04-2012 21:14 recommendations 0

When nature is hot,
Supply regular water in pot,
Keep it in open place,
For birds thirst to chase.

In summer when most of the ponds and lakes are dried up. Many  birds are found flying miles after miles for few drops of water. As per news paper, in every summer, a large numbers  birds are reported died in Jamshedpur due to not getting of water.

In the above photograph one Crow was found dead in Jamshedpur, India in the starting of the Summer, when temperature raised to 42 Deg.  just before the earth day.
So on Earth day 2012 , to resolve this problem, my idea to keep pot of water at height  in open place and  need  regular supply of   water..
I have kept one baby bath tub  in a open place in our flat and stared supplying water on regular basis. Birds are coming daily to take bath and drink water. We enjoy their presence at our home.
In the photograph, one  tub was placed above window of 1st. Floor connected with one pipe for supplying regular  water from my balcony of 2nd floor.

This idea may be applicable for most of the hot areas of India and world . Expecting similar effort by our friends to save birds and nature.
