Environmental Awareness Camp For Young School Children |

The program is designed to provide an early exposure for primary school students (Year 5 and 6) to know more about environmental issues. Besides that, all the activities are held to create environmental awareness among school students through two-way communication and hands-on activities especially when they are living in an isolated forest-like area with less technology advancement.
The objectives of the program cover:- i. To create an environmental conservation awareness among school children ii. To cultivate positive emotions and responsibilities in environmental protection through hands on activities and education training among the young generation iii. To develop young people to be more aware and concerned about environmental issues iv. To engage student students to be actively involved in activities related to teaching and learning of environment. Activities Description: 1. Explorace - It is an environmental-based station games that able to encourage team building among students yet at the same time solving tasks which are related to the environment issues. 2. Green Drink - It is platform built to encourage the mutual interaction between students from University of Malaya and the school students to brainstorm coherently on the current issues which related to the environment. 3. Video Screening - It is a video showing session with emphasis on current environment issues. 4. Group Performance - It is a task that needs to be performed by the group members to express their thoughts and opinions to solve environmental problems. 5. Green Innovation - It is an approach to breed creativity among the school students in constructing new products which are environmentally friendly. |

Great Programme, Chuck. Awareness is key to solving environmental issues. It is indeed a great initiative to environmentally educate these young children so that from such young age they understand the need of environment conservation and their role in protecting environment. Activities are very interesting and seem to foster sense of environmental consciousness in their minds.

The Environment awareness camp & the listed activities are quire engrossing.
The pics are very vivid.
I'm pretty sure that your reported event was a huge success.
Children are the driving force for parents. They influence major decisions in family. From Gadgets galore to caring for nature, all families world over gets the lead from their children.
Therefore, your initiative to create awareness among young ones is quite effective.
Each child will influence a family & they will spread the word in their community. The cycle thus, expands & more population is shifted towards creating awareness & following basic green habits.
We must keep the wheel moving & education sessions must continue with greater penetration.
Each aware child must spread awareness to next 3-5 children.

Awaring young people is always a great way to conserve the environment in the long run. Developing the ideas of environment conservation from the grass root level helps the students to know about the importance of environment conservation and develops the habit of caring the nature from the junior level. And it is important to make sure that they should be involved in creative activities regarding environment so that they can develop interest in it, and in this case you have done it successfully.
I am sure that the program was great success as the picture shows and I think it would be better if you can write the children views on this program, and their performance on group discussion and green innovation.
