There are many to-do lists in vacation and we can enjoy our vacation in million ways. Since it?s the free time with no daily-need-to-do things like preparing for work, college or school, we get plenty of time to utilize the way we want to.

Every year, we have long vacation which we popularly call ?Dashain-Tihar Bida? of one and half month between mid August-October (depending upon the date festival falls on). However, this time we had long vacation of 2 and half months. It felt so good to have such long vacation and many things came up in my mind to properly utilize the free time.

Apart from celebrating Dahsain and tihar, biggest festival of Nepalese, in full traditional ways, I enjoyed my vacation in other ways too.

It all started from being Tunza Eco Generation member. I heard about it from my friends, my senior brothers and sisters who were regional ambassador of Eco Generation as well. Immediately I signed up, it became my favorite and most visited site. Eventually, I got opportunity to become E-gen Regional Ambassador. This was one of the happiest moments of my life.

Likewise I participated in simulation of COP20/CMP10 organized by BYND2015 and Nepal Tunza Youth Environment Network. It felt really great to get opportunity to participate in COP in My City program. I enjoyed being ?Chairperson? of the program. The program improved my ability to listen other more carefully and give quick solution to problems put in front. In fact I learned various issues of climate change and other environment and humanitarian issues. I wrote about it in asia pacific forum ?Our vision, our voice? as well. I also enjoyed being member of ?Leo Club of Bharatpur? which conducts various social services mobilizing youths below 30 year of age. There are criteria to be fulfilled to become eligible for membership. I was successful in fulfilling those criteria. Leo club conducted programs like distributing water to pilgrimage where I too participated. I also involved myself in ?Weeding and Manuring Program? conducted by the club. In addition, I participated in ?Breast Cancer Awareness Program? as well jointly conducted by Leo Club of Bharatpur, Lions Club of Bharatpur and Tripusheor Tol Bikas Samiti.

To make vacation even more fruitful, our team ?The Eco Minions? collaborated with Clean up Nepal-Chitwan Chapter along with various other organization and conducted nationwide cleanliness campaign. There were many volunteer and community people involved to make city cleaner and greener. And I also participated in cleanliness program conducted in our locality.

Our team, under my leadership was able to be selected as top 20 finalists for SAYEN HANDPRINT CHALLENGE: Sustainability Challenge for Colleges in Asia-Pacific. The title of our project is ?SEW: Sustainable and Ethical Waste Management Project?. This is very proud moment for us and our team to mark our presence in university and society and raise the issues of sustainable development. I would like to thank Tunza eco generation for providing information about SAYEN HANDPRINT CHALLENGE. I will write about our project in detail in upcoming articles.

I even visited Sauraha and Pokhara. Sauraha, located in Chitwan National park( listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site), is very much popular for jungle safari, Elephant ride, Elephant Polo, One horned Rhinoceros and Gharials and many more rare species of birds. I visited museum of Sauraha, enjoyed nice view of sun set and was lucky enough to see one horned Rhino as well. Pokhara is most popular tourist destination of Nepal, bestowed with natural beauties and scenery. Pokhara is mainly known for its eco-tourism and for those who love adventure. Annapurna Base Camp, paragliding, ultra flight, bungee jumping, trekking,Peace Pagoda, Phewa lake, Begnas Lake, Machhapuchhre Himal are the major attraction of Pokhara. International Mountain Museum is another major attraction to visit Pokhara. Soon I will write what I learned from my visit in next ambassador report.

Finally, my happiness knew no bound when I was announced ?Best Eco Generation Member of Third Quarter?. I want to thank Tunza Eco Generation for appreciating my tasks and Prashant Bhandari and those who recommended/considered me as best eco-generation member. It has energized me to work even more and in a better way with my community and become proud E-gen Ambassador.

To put it in nutshell, I had awesome vacation filled with unforgettable memories. I enjoyed every moment of my vacation. I will continue my commitment towards my community and environment and make it better place to live in than it was yesterday. I will as well encourage my friends and all members of The Eco Minions to be in Tunza Eco Generation and get involved into various environmental programs.
