Nanoflow technology?s Quant e-Sportlimousine is fast. Its 920 horsepower engine can accelerate this sleekly luxurious car from 0 to 100mph in 2.8 seconds. Its maximum speed is 217.5 mph. Nanoflow claims this electric car has a range of 373 miles with a full tank. And when it does run low on fuel, you?ll need to refuel it– with saltwater.
A saltwater powered car?
With a price that may exceed one million dollars, the Quant is real and has already been approved for use on some public roads in Europe.
There is one catch. Like the batteries in electrics car and the gasoline in internal combustion engines, the salt electrolyte is only a convenient way to store energy in the Quant e-sportlimousine. Flow batteries replace conventional electrodes with ionized fluids.
The world needs something that. The flow battery in the Quant e-sportlimousine combines the best characteristics of gasoline and electric car energy storage. It doesn?t solve every environmental problem in the world, but the flow battery technology behind the Quant e-limousine could become a valuable tool in the world?s transportation and energy infrastructure.

car looks glossy than any other normal car. Thanks for sharing the very interesting report. Never knew salt could be fuel for our vehicles as well.

It can solve the problem of air pollution. I hope there is a car like that in Vietnam.

wow this is so cool!!!!

I think for people image and brand means more than ecology and they unfortunately won't consider saving money for that car. Untill people wont stop thinking the way that we have everything, they won't stop using resources that unconsciously without considering whether they tomorrow

It is the time to people to realize that ecologicy is very important and really appreciate the value of such invention.

Well reported Humaid, such innovations are encouraging to the effect that care for environment is serious & it is happening.

nice posting, thanks for sharing

I've heard that salt water can be converted into fresh water. So if this car becomes real, it will be amazing, Humaid Habeeb. Thank you for your sharing!

This is an amazing technology since oil/gasoline is getting too expensive today. Thanks for sharing! I hope this will be available in my country since we're quite abundant of salt water. However, I think this will be pretty expensive. Haha

LOL this is so cool!

i am a big fan of motor-sports myself, and i hope this idea spreads in the motor-sport industry, especially in public transportation, this is a great way to make transportation faster, and of course more environmental. if this gets available to the public, and if the price decreases, it would make the world a very Eco-friendly place.

There have been many initiatives to find alternative resources for cars, and this sounds amazing :)
Thank you

It's interesting, but sounds a little bit odd for me. I'm currently studying engineering, and the world has made a huge advance technology for renewable energy such as solar power, geothermal, wind power, sea current power and so on. Electricity is the best tool to connect those energy into mechanical energy, and as far as i know, salt water is quite problematic. Salt water leads to corrosion and maybe the exhaust output is not that environmental friendly. But it's still good to know that they are working on it. Nice post Humaid Habib! keep up the good work!

Looks interesting and promising!! Could you also please explain whats a flow battery in a little more detail? Thanks for sharing

I hope that in the nearest future all people that can afford those kind of 'greenest cars' will have them since machines are one of the most harmful things for environment

Interesting . Car looks sleek. Compared to conventional technologies, one litre of the salty liquid contains 400 times more energy than a typical lead-acid battery. Saltwater technology has immense potential not just within the automobile industry but also beyond that in terms of domestic energy supplies as well as in maritime, rail and aviation technology. Thanks for sharing, Humaid.
