Yes, with the increase of atmospheric temperature, the world environmental day , WED celebration is becoming a culture in our Jharkhand state in India. Like other occasions like Holi, Dewali, Ide etc., now a days celebration of WED is a regular event in our societies.
Most of the people is remembering the WED day and planning to do some special event on 5th. Jun 2012 or within this week. Due to hot weather plantation of plants was not done and waiting for rain to start. Verities of occasions were organized by different societies , townships, villages etc. Now a days schools are closed for summer vacation, but children are involved in their locality for making the WED mission successful.
This year, the average maximum temperature hit 44.1 ?t1:PersonName w:st="on">C around noon in the current week, which in combination with a humidity of 30 per cent, made for a day that felt like 70?t1:PersonName w:st="on">C — the discomfort index — on the human body.
An already oppressive summer continues to blaze its way with extremes of heat and humidity that meteorologists consider ?abnormal? for this time of the year.
Why it is so hot: The key factors are low minimum humidity, lack of rain and a strong northwesterly flow of wind that is bringing intense heat from northern part of India like Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.
What is the solution :- When no instant solution is available with us, the celebrate of the WED day and do what best we can do are being considered by most of the organizations, institutions , societies etc. To express the activities need scope for updation of 100 photographs which we have collected so far. Few photographs of WED celebration have been updated here.
