DEAR MR. U.N. SECRETARY GENERAL .....

As a buildup towards Rio+20 , 'The Living Rainforest ' , UK organsied a global essay competition inviting children from across the world to write an open letter to the UN Secretary General on what they thought should change and get addressed . Titled "Dear Mr UN Secretary General ..." , this event received 849 entries worldwide from 59 countries.
 
I won the 3rd prize in the primary category and was the only winner from the Middle East and Africa in my category. I travelled to London to receive the prize .

I participated in a workshop alongwith winners and finalists at the venue near London where we shared our ideas for a more sustainable future . Our views were recorded in a video to be shown during Rio+20 summit.

I am now in Rio and a reporter from THE NATIONAL , UAE  interviewed me over the phone about my essay and how I intend carrying forward my vision of a green economy and the future we want .

    that letter needs to be published in every possible print media to be read by people everywhere.even children our age also need to read it because it kind of jolts us out of our cool slumber.Congratulations.Fantastic job.
