Day 2 of the YOUTH BLAST was the ideal setting for the Global Launch of the FIRST ASIA PACIFIC YOUTH WATER SUMMIT  (APYWS) .

Organised by GREEN THE GENE , this conference will involve children and youth who will seek to address the all important water issues of the Asia Pacific region as a next step to the discussions at the World Water Forum .

GIVEN THE IMPORTANCE OF THE SUBJECT , THIS WAS A REGISTERED EVENT APPEARING ON THE FINAL AGENDA OF THE YOUTH BLAST.

Kehkashan Basu , UAE coordinator of GREEN THE GENE and its representative at the Rio+20 , launched this all important conference on Day 2 of the YOUTH BLAST .

GREEN THE GENE invites all TUNZA Ecogeneration members to contribute and participate in this unique process . More than 500 delegates , comprising of ministers , environmentalists , policy makers , youth and children are expected to attend.
