Protected areas and biodiversity Observatory for COMIFAC Launched |

The European Union and IUCN join 9 member states Forest Commission for Central Africa (COMIFAC) to Launch BIOPAMA-Protected areas and biodiversity Observatory for Central Africa. The European Union under the framework of FLEGT VPA Agreement in the Congo Basin joined 50 delegates from NGOs and protected area Institutions likely to use data in Central and West Africa to launch the Observatory for Protected Areas and Biodiversity in West and Central Africa. This observatory aims to formalize the establishment of the BIOPAMA Observatory for the regions of Central and West Africa. From 10 to 11 October, the city of Brazzaville, Democratic Republic of Congo hosted the launch of a two days workshop to introduce experts how to manage and better manage data from protected areas. |

Observatory for protected areas sounds great for protection of natural resources :) @Bionyoi I would be thankful if you had elaborated the description bit more so that I can visualize more clear concepts and ideas :)

It is a good thing to make a sustainable green area in Africa, and greatly it comes under European Union, a good example of supporting neighbors, A good report indeed.
