#1 – The Eco Friendly Tumbler

The eco-tumbler has already become an everyday item for environment-lovers fond of coffee. As the coffee industry surged during the past few centuries, so did the usage of paper cups. Now that most coffee shops have established the ?take-out? system, more and more people are using paper cups. The constant increase of paper cups has brought the necessity for more paper – which means cutting down more trees. It takes twenty trees to make a single ton of paper. According to a study carried out in South Korea, an average Korean uses 240 paper cups every year, and businessmen use 3 every day. It takes 11 grams of carbon dioxide to make a single paper cup, and every year, the worldwide usage of paper cups is increasing from 20~30 percent. If more trees are cut down, more carbon dioxide will be released into the air, decreasing the amount of clean air that we can breathe into. Climate change and desertification will be intensified.

In order to solve this problem, we must protect the green areas of our planet and lessen the amount of paper cups we use every day. Though most cups end up recycled, we still have to cut down more trees to make more paper cups.

That is why using a tumbler can be quite helpful in decreasing the usage of paper cups. Using tumbler cups have the same effect as planting new trees. Some nations have special days or occasions in which citizens – or people of certain organizations do campaigns and plant new treas. Such events may be helpful, but they are only a spark of the day – it is far more effective to use personal tumblers. Already, celebrities interested in the environment are starting to use eco-tumblers, leading the tumbler campaign across the world.

#2 – New things to buy for next semester after vacation

For many countries, it is already winter vacation and students are looking forward to going back to school. Before they go however, there is a lot to prepare for the next semester. They – we – have to buy new notes and pencils. Not only students, but businesspeople all around the world buy dozens of notes every year. The more paper notes we buy, the harder it gets for our environment. One easy way to solve this problem is to use recycled paper. Recycled paper is just reforming and reusing the fibers in a tree already cut up in the past.

Notes made out of recycled paper are popular among students, and now more people are using special recycled products, like pencils made out of molten newspaper. Some companies make their pamphlets and brochures by using recycled paper. A company called ?Remarkable? in England collects wasted paper cups and record disks to make new writing materials.

Christy -I agree with you . This is my observation as well . My parents also change the leaves and use the same cover to reduce wastage. Thanks for sharing , Gaa. If we look into our daily lives , we would be amazed to realise that every action we do currently or every item we use currently has an eco friendly option.

@Gaa Bhin- Eco friendly tumblers and recycled stationary would definitely help in saving our trees and lessen emissions. Also most of the time our note books aren't fully filled but we buy new one for new session. We can reuse the unused paper of used notebooks. Organizations like Remarkable are doing commendable job by recycling the stuffs :)

I feel this an exclusive articles because of two things specifically-the estimates of carbon dioxide emissions and the vivid descriptions to the subject matter. These two things give us a gist of what is really being talked about in detail and also of how much we need to work hard to catch up as we can tell now that if twelve trees go a tonne then 24 have to be planted to counter the force of balance. Lovely article really Gaa Bhin Ryu.

As a new year is about to start, I would like to talk about diary. Most of us have at least a diary and we buy a new one every year. I change only paper part of the diary and reuse the cover(made of artificial lather). In this way, I can save the natural resources used for making bling-bling covers. :)
