SUPPORT FOR AN ECO-PARTY |
---|
Hello friends and dear Ambassadors!
I feel immensely glad to be fully back on here after a very long period of time due to personal reasons and I have truly missed reading all your very interesting and informative articles.
Like we normally say here in Nigeria in times like this, "I'm back with a bang!" Last year, if you will remember, I organised what has now been popularly accepted to be Nigeria's First Eco-Photo Contest which had more than 320 young Nigerians participating from all over the country with very amazing entries that depicted in unique ways, the beauty of Nigeria's natural environment.
I remember sharing an article here showcasing the winners of the contest as well as their entries. You all can go to the gallery page of this website to see the three winning entries again and I'm glad to inform you that one of the winners of the contest is now a member of Tunza Eco-generation and he has also started his own environmental consultancy organisation in Nigeria.
I feel fulfilled!
Now, I'm about to organise another creative, scintillating and educative eco-project in Nigeria and again, it is the first of it's kind. It is an Eco-Party.
I have found out that one of the ways to get young people to be truly interested in major issues such as the environment, is to engage them through what they are favourably disposed to. And I know you all will believe me that as young people, many of us like to party.
I like to party!
Based on this, the Eco-Party I want to organize will be a gathering of very enthusiastic youths and children drawn from various places in the country. We will have refreshments, play games, dance, sing, recite poems and most importantly, talk about environment and how young people must participate in activities to protect nature. We will gather ideas and draw blueprints of what to do and make committments to save earth.
Interesting, right? Yes. But this is a big project that matters a lot to me and I am really interested in doing it. I'm a student and I can't do this alone. I need a lot of support.
So dear friends and Ambassadors, if you feel the Eco-Party I want to organise is a brilliant idea and you believe you can be of help in any way, please feel free to get in touch with me. I will be really happy and grateful. I guess this is why we are all a team helping and supporting each other's eco-projects and Tunza Eco-generation has the best young people in the world.
My email is atitmide@yahoo.com and on Facebook, my username is Ayomide Atitebi. Kindly contact me and share ideas with me about the Eco-Party and how else you can be of support.
Thanks a lot. Long live earth! Long live Tunza Eco-generation! |

Eco party sounds interesting, Atitebi! Children can learn alot through entertainment. I agree that the activity like this should be launched for the youths and children to understand about eco-vision. All the best!
