On 11/11/11. This date which comes once in a century, to make it more memorable Green the Gene started one of its biggest campaigns - The Evangelist Program. According to Christian mythology – An Evangelist was a person who used to spread teachings of Jesus. All throughout history, evangelists have carried teachings and thought to influence people with their ideas and concepts. Their aim was to give something to the world through what they have learnt in their lives. They believed that their learnings should be spread, so that more and more people could be impacted and mobilized.

So using this idea and following the same belief Green the Gene started The Evangelist program. One of the largest student led movement for environmental awareness in the world with over 10,000 members.

This unique program and the concept of environmental evangelism, idea and initiated by Founder President Madhav Datt - aims to not just develop understanding of the environmental problems among the evangelists and sensitize them to take action, but also spread awareness and involve and mobilize youth from their schools, universities, localities, cities, regions and country.

The program doesn't stop just at taking. They would then, with their newly made members work to sensitize people and take up grassroots organizing to address local environmental problems.
