Dear Friends, Around Jan , I was informed that I won the "International Diana Award" due to my contribution towards community in the field of environment protection. I was glad to get that news and happier when I came to know that as an award I would get certificate signed by British Prime Minister Mr. David Cameron. International Diana award , in memory of Princess Diana , is a prestigious global award that appreciates and celebrates the work which young people make to society - especially those who are young ambassadors, young leaders, young humanitarians, , environmental campaigners, and those who inspire others as Princess Diana did. This award appreciates and encourages inspirational young people who work selflessly for benefit to society , community or environment . It awards the outstanding achievements of such young people . Around Feb I received the certificate . Last few days , I was honoured when I was invited by British Council Country Director Mr. Mark Jessel. It was a pleasure meeting him , hearing his views and positive comments about my work. Then another pleasant surprise came my way when I was invited by Deputy Chief of Mission and Head of Chancery Ms. Neeta Bhushan (wife of Consul General Mr. Anurag Bhushan) at Indian Embassy. I was touched to hear her encouraging and motivating words appreciating my work and recognizing me as role model for youths. She is such a humble lady that she cared to meet a small person like me to wish me , congratulate me and hear my feelings and experiences upon receiving this award. Last week I got calls from various media to take my interview and photoshoot. I felt so humbled and thankful to all my wellwishers that I was getting such an attention. Journalist and cameramen came to my home to take my interview to feature me . It was a great feeling. When I shared the newspaper features on FB , I was even more glad to read very motivating comments from friends all across. It feels good. I am writing all this to share my heart out with all of you and most important to thank each of you and especially the one and only "TUNZA ECO GENERATION"(the best environmental platform ) who has helped me , guided me , groomed me , empowered me and facilitated my development as eco-activist. I have learnt a lot on this forum from all of you. Let's keep this forum most active. Thanks a ton Eco Gen. Thank you everyone , let's be the changemakers.
