I conducted an awareness programme on ?ILL EFFECTS OF SMOKING AND ALCOHOL, PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT AND WORKSITE SAFETY FOR LABOURERS' in a construction company ETA's Sonapur Labour Camp from 7:30 PM on 27.03.2015.

The event was organized to disseminate the strong detestation against smoking, consumption of alcohol and neglection towards the environment. I conducted awareness on the importance of segregating waste, recycling and the crisis our world is facing presently. i also gave them tips on how they can do their part for the environment. 

10 members of Green Globe of different age groups conducted the programme and it included: -

• Anti-smoking song by members, carrying relevant banners and slogan boards.

• Slide Show on dangers of smoking, consumption of alcohol and tobacco chewing.

• The show also included basics safety measures to be adopted by personnel at workplace and need for

•  Protection of Environment by recycling of waste materials.

• Members carrying banners and slogan boards went all around the camp spreading message among employees living in the camp, on ill effects of smoking, alcoholism and tobacco chewing etc.

Each of them came with an effective message to reach out to the labourers. The event was witnessed by a huge crowd of 500 labourers and has created a profound impact among these labourers to combat these social evils. 

I also conducted an Tunza Promotional Event to the members of Green Globe who partook in the event.

The labourers were encouraged and moved by these young minds and appreciated their efforts in educating them.
