Going beyond the hour *60+* |

Amidst the Earth Hour celebration?s, I did not forget to spread out my message once again to the Generation-Y through the platform of my Alma-matter, Tunza Eco-Generation. At the Earth Hour 2015 celebrations in Dubai, I gathered some enthusiastic children and celebrated with them the Earth Hour by giving them a unique message. The logo of Earth Hour for the past few years has been highlighted as ?60+? instead of just ?60?. This truly gives out the fact that our efforts towards a zero carbon footprint should not be concentrated towards just these 60 minutes, but we should go beyond this. Way beyond. Any effort that we perform to save the environment is definitely a prolonging of the Earth Hour. When we reuse some old and discarded materials and make something new out of them, we are reducing the production of the discarded items, as well as the new item, hence, we are saving valuable resources like energy and water, and therefore, we are reducing the Carbon emissions, which is what the whole essence of Earth Hour is based on. Even when we recycle something, it is the same thought that comes into action. This was the message that I have to all of the youth at the Earth Hour in Dubai. I also distributed Tunza Eco-Generation promotional goods to them as a mark of remembrance of this amazing platform where young minds can share ideas, solutions and thoughts. My thoughts were put into print by the UAE?s leading English daily, Gulf News, in the form of a Community Report In-Depth which highlighted what I did on Earth Hour as ?Ideas to save the planet?. This Earth Hour, to practice what I preached, I made a Pistachio-shell Pen-holder by reusing cans and sticking pistachio shells, which are often discarded, on them. Then, I colored these with expired nail polish to give the finished touch. @Rohan I wish you all the best! I wish I were staying near your house so that I can get beautiful handmade school stationery from you. Still some people don't believe that it's made by a boy. They don't know how skillful hands you have )

@Christy, Many Thanks for your encouragement. I feel elated when you say that the pen holder is still on your desk. This motivates me to do better than best.
As a responsible ambassador it's my duty to promote Tunza Eco-generation as much as I can.
