Environmental Pollution in Bangladesh: Chemical Industries.

by | 02-05-2015 03:04 recommendations 0

Yes!! It has been a long time I wrote. So First of all I am sorry to make this delay my fellows.

Few days ago I visited some chemical industries of my own country. Yes we are getting quite developed, w e has developed medicine, fertilizer, and insecticides all but have a little development of knowledge to use it.

Actually there are two kinds of environment one is natural and another is called Anthropogenic Environment or normally man made environment which includes industries, technology, home etc.

Chemical is one of the most important thing in our daily life from the toothpaste at morning to mouthwash at night all are chemical products, which are manufactured in the industries. And every industry has its waste product it can be gas, solid or liquid.

Consider the gas first, in the waste gas majority is Nitrogen containing gas as nitrogen is the most inert gas to react with product. This gas can be nitrogen dioxide the brown irritating gas. This gas can normally be reason of Dyspnea, Chest pain or Eye, nose or throat irritation with worsening cough.

And then Sulphur dioxide the most important chemical to produce acid rain. After that comes the much known Carbon dioxide, the gas creating green house effect.

Now consider the chemical in the water. It can be polluted by arsenic, lead, zinc or copper. Arsenic was once a dangerous challenge to the villages of this country.

This is what is happening in really. Industries can be told the backbone of a nation's financial stability but make sure that it is not affecting the public health.

I believe we are the young mind can act against this most frequently, because it is not only a problem on Bangladesh. Same thing is happening in the nearby developing also with developed countries. So let's make a change together.

Well reported Fayshal. I believe that such industries must share the responsibility to recycle the waste before disposal.
It must be made compulsory, binding & enforced strictly.

Yeah Fayshal, I truly agree with Arushi sister. We can't stay away from the use of chemical but all we can do is make rational and sustainable use of chemicals. Regarding the chemical industries show have proper waste management plan that ensures minimal damage to environment and human health. Thank you for sharing :)

Fayshal , Thanks for sharing your view on chemical industries and pollution/ health hazard they cause. We can not live without chemical industries but what can be done is to incorporate sustainable practices in every operation of chemical industries like they should be set up in pure industrial area , no way closer to residential area , they should recycle water within the factory , use solar energy as much as possible , use energy efficient appliances within the factory etc. Sustainable chemical industry.
