Let?s Do It Mediterranean!? is a social movement and an environmental campaign that aims to clean the Mediterranean Sea! . It is a part of the international mouvement  Let's do it World ! The cleanup event toke place in 8 to 9 May 2015 . All around the Mediterranean countries: Algeria, Tunisia, Turkey, Greece.. Etc ?

Let?s Do It! World is a civic led mass movement which began in Estonia during 2008 when 50,000 people gathered to clean up the entire country in just five hours. They are now an international movement with 112 countries working together, engaging over 12 million participants.
the  aim is to clean up the whole World from illegally dumped solid waste and to then keep our planet clean! they work with passion and perseverance to support the most intelligent and sustainable waste management principles in order to ensure a future clean World. To reach the essential transformation in our global society, they have set the ambitious goal to involve 350 million people by 2018. This is around 5% of the World?s population and is the estimated amount to create a lasting change.

Let's Do It! Algeria is part of the global movement Let's Do It! World. It is a group of Algerian citizens who are active and work voluntarily for the protection of the environment in Algeria. They are working on the idea of eco-volunteering in the country, They import this protection model of environment in February 2012. A few days later, they called a National Cleaning company in Algeria. It was May 19, 2012. During this day, they have been able to gather more than 1,000 volunteers and nearly 18 associations, youth centers, volunteer groups, environmentalists ... etc., they all gathered on multiple sites in the mother land , to participate in volunteering. Their project is, in principle, to inform about the ecology, to propose solutions, to share the dangers that threaten our environment.  Let's Do It! Algeria networks with Let's Do It! World. They share the same goals. This year they launched a volunteer day in Algeria: 8 to 9 May 2015. During this day several Mediterranean countries are involved to a single goal: Clean and preserve the Mediterranean coast.

The main objectives of the campaigns are?

• to make an international civic effort to remove floating debris from water surface and trash from the beaches and shallow seabed
• to attract at least one million people from the Mediterranean region countries to participate in one day cleanup of the Sea
• to create a cooperation path in order to encourage environmental sustainable thinking within the governmental institutions and companies to increase the production and availability of environmentally friendly products and services, and to adopt more ecological directives
• to raise awareness, educate and improve attitudes of all the Mediterranean countries citizens towards waste, recycling and environmental protection
• to create a basis for fulfilling a long term goal: changing the habits of citizens via personal involvement in solution and supporting a sustainable society in all the participating countries raising awareness and demonstrating that problems of such magnitude can only be solved if we are all working together.

The event started in Algeria in 8/5/2015 by Let's do it Algeria - Annaba town - by my groupe let's do it Annaba ,we cleaned up two beachs named Jews beach and Saint Cloud beach, we started at 9 am and we have finished at 12 am!
Litter on the beach such as cigarettes, food wrappers, straws and bottle caps can affect marine life, who accidentally swallow them, or feed it to their young. Balloons, an item frequently found at our cleanups, can be eaten by whales and fishes, where they can clog the animal?s digestive tracts, making it impossible for them to eat normally. The most funny thing we found in high numbers at our cleanups is coins! yes coins !
Beach clean ups are a great way to get involved in protecting the marine environment, and a great way to get exercise! On our beach clean ups, we spend more than 3 hours collecting trash off a local beach, and recording our findings !
The second day (9/5/2015) 2 other organisation joined us in let's do it Annaba to clean up Rizi Amor beach! Algerian United - Annaba it is a group of actif volunteer youth Algerian that have aim to make Algeria a better place of living (charity events, education ,environment protection , cleaning up etc) and as well Green Ground Seraidi  Environmental protection association and sustainable development 'Seraidi, Annaba, Algeria, Created in 2013, the organization's mission of environmental protection and awareness of public opinion on their roles and duties to our biosphere, to protect and lead to a healthy future .
Meanwhile the other let's do it in Algeria were cleaning up their town and big hill to let's do it Bejaia they did a very nice job on cleaning up a national park named Ghouraya ! as well for Let's do it Tizi ouzou ,
Algiers , Ain Albaida ..etc.
One day - clean country. One year - clean planet. 112 countries and 12 million volunteers. World Cleanup 2015!
