An exhibition of works of art made from used automotive parts and scrap material is being held in Dubai at the Sheikh Zayed Road Al Tayer Motors showroom from May 20 to June 4. Titled " Creativity Recycled" , the display is the result of a competition organized for the technicians of Al Tayer Motors and Premier Motors. Nearly 400 people from 11 locations across the UAE participated in a two-month long contest creating 98 artistic objects. The works of art are made up of used car parts such as valves, radiator cores, grills and cam shafts. The artistic creations are on display with the names of the technician and a list of the parts they were made from. Visitors will be able to see a range of models including robots, insects, vehicles, flowers, birds and musical instruments. Working during their spare times , the teams of technicians fashioned some creations such as a pair of swans created from a radiator , headlights and a door handle as well as a Burj Khalifa made from black sealant , valves , radiator core , shims and a drive belt. The objects created have exceeded everybody's wildest expectations. Visitors will be able to vote for their favourite five from the collection. The creators of the top three works of art from the five finalists will be chosen by an internal panel of judges and will receive prizes from dealership. A care is made of more than 20,000 parts. So it's understandable artists can make endless artworks out of them. It seems that more and more artists make artworks out of waste or recycled matters. Very positive trend. Thank you Arushi for sharing great news ceaselessly. :-)
