The partnership between a law course and the Unilavras College resulted in the creation of the project named "Sucateca Project". The project consists of the idea of waste reusing, in other words, using materials which were supposed to go to the bin but instead making something else with that.
There are a huge range of objects and materials that can be made by waste reusing such as toys, domestic tackles and instruments. The main goal of the project is to donate everything that were produced and presented to some public school. In this way, students will be able to use the constructed objects and also have fun with them. The law course provided all materials that were necessary to make the new objects or instruments. Nevertheless, they started to develop awareness among the children and youth and say therefore the importance to care about our environment through coordinated action. In the end, It occured an exhibition showing all artwork with the reusing materials. It was on 24th and 25th of May in the Unilavras College.

Well done Luiz. This is real true service for True Mother Nature. Keep up the good work of recycling.
More motivation will encourage this project to be imitated in other cities.

Hi Rin. That is an ongoing project. I am not sure about plans to conduct to different places. All the "waste" is acquired by the local community and the children and youth itself. =)

"Sucateca Project" is a good project to demonstrate and put into practice 3Rs in reality. Waste is not a waste till it is wasted so things we no longer need can be recycled into much more useful stuff .Glad to note that the upcycled products would be given /donated to public schools. This is like-Humanity and environment conservation at it's best. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Luiz! Thanks for sharing your report! If you don't mind, I have several questions related to yours.
Will this project be done continuously or not? If it is yes, is there any plan to conduct the project in different places? And on how the committee provides the waste as material to this project?
I hope you don't mind to answers those. Thanks a lot! :)
