The solar potential of Algeria is among the three best deposits in the world |

Solar power is energy from the sun that is converted into thermal or electrical energy. Solar energy is the cleanest and most abundant renewable energy source available. Modern technology can harness this energy for a variety of uses, including generating electricity, providing light or a comfortable interior environment, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial use. The quality of the Algerian sunlight allows Algeria to rank among the three countries with the best solar fields in the world, revealed Wednesday Mouloud Bakli, Solar Business Director at Air Liquide, the world leader in gases, technologies and services for industry and health.The Algerian context and renewable energy expert who brought joy to this multinational called on public authorities to strengthen their investment efforts in the development of solar energy. On the occasion of the International Seminar on photovoltaic solar technologies in Bordj Bou Arreridj organized by the Algerian private group Condor Electronics, the Algerian expert has called on the Algerian authorities to embark on technology watch to equip the most scalable technology in this sector where global competition is increasingly fierce. "We ask only to be treated on the same footing as those foreign companies who drop our national markets. In 2014, a law was enacted to allow Sonelgaz to buy electricity from producers and installers of solar energy. We are ready to invest in solar farms if Sonelgaz agrees to buy our electricity, "says the manager of Condor has already agreed to 10 million euros to launch its factory. "An investment that we are ready to strengthen. We are ready to mobilize ? 200 million to expand production of solar panels if we have a suitable filler and public procurement plan, "says Abdelmalek Benhamadi who firmly believes in the future of solar energy in Algeria . A future that could be brighter if the Algerian authorities shun domestic producers because at present, the solar panels manufactured by Condor in Algeria are still struggling to find takers. Sonelgaz and has not shown the slightest interest. |

Algeria is solar powerful and the day is not far when most of it's national energy demands will be met by solar power .Thanks for the report.

Algeria to rank among the three countries with the best solar fields in the world, this is a boon to Algeria and Algerians. Wow!
So glad to see the authorities ready to trust and invest in the solar energy. I wish such message flow to each and every country and solar power be in the mind of public and governement as well.

great report . All the countries need to start this initiative to produce energy using Solar Power . Sunlight is abundant in every part of the world . So it would be a such and eco friendly source of energy .
