Climbing High on Top of Chitwan: SIRAICHULI

by Sujan Adhikari | 30-10-2015 21:18 recommendations 0

Chitwan, known for its forests and amazing wildlife has also got hilly village and its culture to promote its tourism. This week while rediscovering own Chitwan I got too many crazy things that made me proud to tell all geeks here on this elite platform. It's amazing to confront all those beauty of Chitwan from 190 meters to 1945 meters of height.

These 4 days on trek to endings of my own district gave me much enjoyment and I assure those who love hiking to trekking can enjoy their own local place numbering from 1 to 4 days. So my friends lets read my unique experience trekking on hills of Inner Terai Chitwan.

Started from Hugdikhola, Dhading it took us about 5 hours to reach Hattibang, a Chepang Village full of unique tradition, culture and their own way to amuse life better. These 5 hours hiking gives us immense pleasure with smooth wind nudging around us. We have to cross 6 hills on this 5 hrs trek, some time on top of hill and sometime bottom of same hill, making its way for next. Sharing smiles with village people is fun and you never face hesitation on your decision for going trekking. On the way you can enjoy Waterfalls, Ponds and forests beauties.

Walk either fast or slowly, it doesn't matter but what matter is shear smiles, and be curious with local people on the way. And you gonna reach with fun, excitement at night to Hattibang Village.

On next day at Hattibang, its time to wake up at 4 am in the morning and be ready to climb high on top of Chitwan to height of 1945 meters. It's not other than Siraichuli from where you can see rising sun reflecting its ray making warm around us. Really scene of rising sun is epic scene you will see from top of Chitwan. Take some shots with unique pose and these memories will last longer and will hover smile on your face.

And when we come down to village you will be acquainted with Chepang Culture. Chepang is an ethnic people of Nepal especially living on forests in ancient time but now are under habitat. Though you are on same district you will certainly face unique culture, tradition there. Chepang people are more acquainted on how to utilize forest products more efficiently and this knowledge can also be boon for those who love to study on them.

Remaining two days, we made way from Hattibang to Saktikhor by 3 hrs walk and from there to Upardanggadi by 5 hrs walk. Upardanggadi is historical headquarter of Chitwan and we can see fort made on 18 century there.

Overall, this trek round Chitwan is amazing, wonderful with epic scene you rarely see, unique culture , tradition you rarely follow, Sunrise that rarely strikes rays on you. So wake up from your day to day life , get some time and enjoy the trek.

Thank You Rohan. These children belong to ethnic group and I am thinking of organising a program for these children, either it can be library project or clothes for Compassion like yours in Dubai.
