Competing with Switzerland, Germany, Mexico, Poland and Namibia, South Korea's city of 'SongDo, InCheon' was chosen to house the UN, the Green Climate Fund.

The fund plans to gather $100 billion of aid by 2020 to help developing countries counter the negative consequences of climate change such as floods, droughts, heat-waves and rising sea levels. The 24 head steering committee, consisted of representatives of industrial and developing countries, will meet in the city of Songdo, Korea.

Up to now, there has been no discussion by the fund how to raise $100 billion. The fund is currently empty. The discussion will be held by the environment ministers for approval at a meeting in Doha, Qatar, from November 26-December 7.

The global charity organization, 'Oxfam' said that South Korea must work hard to get all developed countries to make immediate pledges to the Green Climate Fund at Doha. The climate change program manager, Mr.Waskow said the the poor people who suffered from the climate disasters were unable to afford another unresolved U.N. Climate Conference.
