Green experiences of green research

It was a year ago when I conducted a research on the topic "Community Forestry, Good Governance and Youth Mobilization in Nepal" and it was selected in the top 10 list for South East Asia Youth Meeting (SEAFYM), Indonesia. In the honor of my research the organizer invited me to give the presentation about research. But it was unfortunate that I couldn't attain the program due to lack of sponsorship. Similarly, this year my concept note has been selected for South Asian economist Student meeting (SAESM) which is going to be organized in Nepal during 17-22 December of this year. The topic of my research is "Financial Benefits Analysis of Forest Carbon Sequestration In Community Forestry (CF) of Nepal. For this I'm preparing to to conduct a research on my research site Jayakot Community Forest, Pokhara, Nepal.

Study site:  Jayakot CF which is a famous CF of pokhara due to the presence of famous tourism destinations as Mattepani gumga and Vadrakali temple covering an area of 24.49 ha. It is the CF of pokhara where high ecotourism activities, high green opportunities have been seen. Although it is located at the heart of pokhara city, it provides aesthetic beauty, more natural and recreational value to the city. The presence of this CF is making this city green and has improved the beauty of this city.

The organizer provides only podium for the research paper presentation but not the fund to conduct research. I'm worried about the fund to carry out the research and to participate in the program this year also. I wish I could conduct the research and attain the program as an emerging youth resource economist from my nation. I know For this I must find a research grant. I'm still worried about the finding of financial assistance for my research.

Although I don't have money to conduct my research, today I took the instruments from the laboratory of our institute, visited my research site and took some photographs. My research assistance Mr. Nar Bahadur Chhetri was also with me and another friend Mr. Ganesh Pandey is also arriving tomorrow to assist my research. As the forest mainly consists of Shima-Castanopsis ,pinus roxburgii also there. We decided to conduct research dividing the forest into 4 strata considering several factors into account.

I have captured the memories of today as photographs which are attached below?????????..

Wow, what a work and commitment you have there! It's the first time I've ever seen community forest in Nepal, and it seems quite reserved and pretty.
