Lalita saved a baby sparrow

This is a very simple real story of saving life of a baby sparrow at our Jamshedpur , India. Many of us are doing many good / big jobs,  but saving life of small, small creatures in by our own hands, it is  really a great job . For the encouragement of others,  I am posting one simple story of our friend Miss. Lalita.

Miss. Lalita is a active member of Jharkhand Children?s Green Club and she made us proud by saving life of a baby sparrow recently.  One day she found a baby ( 1 day old ) sparrow was lying on the floor of her apartment. She took  it with care and kept in a small box, daily taken care with food and water. She saved it from sun light and others animals like cats and birds.

Parents of the baby used to come at her home to see their baby everyday. Lalita was very happy by  saving  life of the small baby and seeing  the grow of it?s small wings. One day when the baby was capable to fly , she  allowed her to spread her wings  with a hope that, the sparrow will able to return to her home and live in this  world with it?s own right and strength.

The sparrow  is a small bird,  which was available in India a lot. In our locality,  the numbers of this common birds were reduced drastically mainly after installation of towers of  mobiles phones. My mother , Mrs. Rina Choudhury told that, in her childhood there was more than 10 lacs birds in our locality and now it was reduced to less then 1000 nos. We hardly can see any sparrow  sitting in our windows and hear their ?chie, chie ? noise .

Birds are important, we hardly see any crow in our concreate jungle, house sparrow has become rarity. Birds eat insacts and keep a balance in the eco system. Lalita should be congratulated for her effort to save the life of little bird. Jharkhand Children Green Club may consider to audit the number of different birds which can be seen in their locality. Thanks Rajashree for reporting this to the world

Let us save lives of Cats or Dogs,
    Snakes, Sparrows or Frogs.
Those are in danger around us,
    Small creatures of this universe.

Due to us, their lives are in danger.
Beside attending green meeting or seminar,
Or making good report or presentation,
Need to involve for saving lives or plantation,

Let us fulfil some basis duty.
    With our individual capacity
    For saving our wonderful nature,
By our own hands, save at least one creature.

Thanks to Kehkashan and Christy, for supporting for such simple but real life activity. Many of us extending our hands for such small support. But many of them are not being noticed and their contribution are not being recognized. We are trying for them.

    Thanks to all.
