This is in continuation of my previous report on the Green Brigade Awareness Day held on 7^th. Dec-12.

Here are some amazing pieces of art by our young Picassos and Michelangelos and they really carried a lot of meaning with respect to the topic given for the day ?Clean UAE, Green UAE? and the judges had struggled a lot to choose the winners among the lot and recommended more prizes from next event onwards to give proper justice to the talents.

Also we witnessed some budding environmentalists penning their thoughts on what they feel should be done to save the earth from disasters as the topic was ?My ideas and actions towards greener world?....... Again we had a tough time to select the winners in various categories.

Environmental Quiz programme was a big hit, even many parents participated in open category (age > 12 years) with full enthusiasm and at the end everybody is a winner as this enhances everybody?s knowledge on environmental issues. Here are some of the questions extracted from the quiz for this forum (answers are at the bottom):

2. What is the most common type of debris that litters our oceans - Three Mile Island was the site of what disaster ?

3. Hydro power, which is derived from water is one of the earliest sources of energy in India. Where the first mini hydel plant was set up in 1897? -

   4. According to the World Health Organization, what is the most polluted city in the world?
