Dubai Municipality recently organized the closing ceremony of their ?CLEAN UP THE WORLD 2012? campaign to felicitate and recognize the efforts of a select few persons and organisations who had made remarkable contributions to their campaign . It was a therefore a moment of great joy and pride , when GREEN HOPE UAE , the environmental organization I founded to carry forward the Rio legacy , received an award from Dubai Municipality for our contributions to the ?CLEAN UP THE WORLD 2012? campaign.
At this august gathering, I was invited to give a speech. I was the youngest delegate and also the only child award recipient at this ceremony. My speech was in both Arabic and English and was greatly appreciated by the audience. The Director of Dubai Municipality had special words of praise and encouragement for me and this will motivate us to strive for greater heights in our service to the environment.
