The Return of the Paper Drinking Straws

by Bam Azores | 05-01-2013 15:19 recommendations 0

Guys do you remember paper straws for drinking? They used waxed paper instead of the newer plastic straws. But now that plastic straws are banned in many places I wonder if paper straws will come back? I remember how they would disintegrate quickly if you let it stay in your drink too long or if you bit it. Not fun at all! :) I searched them in the internet and they look really nice now and come in all colors. In case anyone is interested to buy, I saw some of them in this link http://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale/wholesale-paper-straws.html

In my home I use these paper straws in the summer only to drink tender coconut. In winter and chill weather i prefer milk. So I donot need the straws.

I think cost is the prime factor here also...

It is available in our local market. But 3 times costlier than plastic one. So paper straws use are observed in less than 5% cases . Thanks for the report.

wow I've never seen such straws. It must be more greener (meaning as environmentally friendly) than the normal plastic straws.
