The Return of the Paper Drinking Straws |

Guys do you remember paper straws for drinking? They used waxed paper instead of the newer plastic straws. But now that plastic straws are banned in many places I wonder if paper straws will come back? I remember how they would disintegrate quickly if you let it stay in your drink too long or if you bit it. Not fun at all! :) I searched them in the internet and they look really nice now and come in all colors. In my home I use these paper straws in the summer only to drink tender coconut. In winter and chill weather i prefer milk. So I donot need the straws.

There is one restaurant in the Philippines that proudly says they use paper straws now. Neat! :)

It is available in our local market. But 3 times costlier than plastic one. So paper straws use are observed in less than 5% cases . Thanks for the report.

wow I've never seen such straws. It must be more greener (meaning as environmentally friendly) than the normal plastic straws.
