THE STANDARD CHARTERED DUBAI MARATHON 2013 - GREEN HOPE UAE SPREADS AWARENESS ABOUT CARBON FOOTPRINT REDUCTION |

The Dubai Marathon is one of the most eagerly awaited sporting events of the region and ranks as one of the world?s top long distance race event. This year?s event saw more than 20,000 participants, young and old, from all walks of life and from across the world. ?Run for a cause? was the theme of the event and we , Green Hope UAE, participated to raise awareness about how walking and running are eco-friendly mediums of transport which help to reduce one?s carbon footprint. For more than half a day, 20,000+ participants parked their cars and ran the marathon. It was a memorable event where we also got to meet the winners of both the men?s and women?s event . It was a clean sweep by the Ethiopian runners who grabbed all three top positions in both the men?s and women?s events. Green Hope UAE spoke about the need to reduce our carbon footprint, live on FM radio, and also gave interviews to newspapers. We are extremely thankful to the various section of the media for helping us to spread awareness about the need to reduce usage of transport which run on fossil fuels and instead run or walk wherever possible. |

Wow, what a work!! You are always doing something, go girl!! Is that the building constructed by Korean company? I've seen the building on Korean news. ^^
