by | 12-03-2013 02:20 recommendations 0

Are you facing problems with your current Supply Chain? Are you having irregular qualities and flow of supplies? Are you getting uncontrolled price fluctuation? Are you disappointed with the non-value adding middlemen? Are you in trouble to taking decision on sustainable development tactics?

If all or most of the answers of the above questions are YES then your organization needs to think of a new way to manage your Supply Chain more effectively.

Keeping in mind the all above questions, some organizations arranged a very special day long training course on 9th March (Saturday), 2013 in BRAC Centre Inn. As it was holiday the program started at 9.00 am with the 100% attendance of nominated participants from 50 various institutions.

In order to build the capacity of Supply Chain team the workshop highlighted tools and technology to develop a sustainable Supply Chain which is good for poor producers and farmers, for healthy livable planet and also for organization. The inaugural session also covered how we can develop relationship with suppliers and middlemen who are actually partners of our business.

The Resource Persons have extensive private sector work experience and are renowned in their field.

Ejazur Rahman, CSCM, MBA, MIMM, PGDMC: Chief Executive Officer, ISCEA, Asia was the key person in that inaugural session. He is currently working as Managing Director of Mind Mapper Ltd. Previously he was the COO of Sanmar Group Bangladesh. Before it he served as the Head of Supply Chain of Coats Srilanka for 15 years. He is also involved as the Associate Consultants of Sensei International.

The costs of this workshop are being subsidized by CARE Bangladesh with the support of iDE Bangladesh and MDF. Renaissance Consultants Ltd. is organizing this workshop with Resource from ISCEA.

Later on a participatory session was conducted by Mr. DD Goshal. He is the head of marketing of Bombay Sweets & Co Ltd.. It is the country's top most snacks producer & a top popular brand. Now he is also working as head of Alooz Brand by performing excellently in contract farming. He shared his working experience with us mentioning all the stories of downfall, success, difficulties, challenges & solution. The 70 years old Goshal specially emphasized on Green Farming, Green Technology  by considering both adaptation & mitigation approaches.

After a wonderful lunch, we had a case study session where a case was provided to study by dividing all the participants in five groups. As the team leader of Group one, i presented the study result.

Finally, we left for next days to implement the learning in our real life activities.
