We are very grateful to God due to the great boon given so that we can execute our action plan as eco-project. The most challenging project that has spent much energy is committing eco-project called Conservation of Sumatera Rhinocero?s Food in the National Park of Way Kambas. However, it helps to build up our environmental awareness particularly towards endangered species. The focus of project is to conserve Rhinoceros by cultivating and providing feed stock.
The project was conducted in two days, 8th-9th April 2009. It involved 30 participants from University of Lampung and IAIN, Lampung. In that event, the committee focuses on rhinoceros? conservation with such as Rhino Food Garden, Conservation Observatory, Interactive Discussion and Tracking.
Why should rhinoceros be main theme? As we know, Sumetera Rhinoceros was pegged by IUCN as Critical Endangered Species so that Indonesian people and the local communities endeavor to protect them well. One of way to conserve them is by cultivating the Rhino Food.
The rhinocero?s food in form of grasses is very special and is limited so that needed treatment to tackle that case. Pre-treatment used is the means of grass cultivation including fertilizer used, maintenance, watering, etc. The maturity of grass after long time growth up will be a stock to fill out the necessity of rhinoceros.
As mentioned above, the first event was field trip to Rhino Food Garden. It added the insight of participants related how to plant at least 200 grasses with various species as the staple feeds. In other hand, this project collaborated with Yayasan Badak Indonesia (YABI) that was a institution concerning to conserve rhinoceros.
The second event was interactive discussion that intended to share opinions and views among partipants. This discussion was held with RPU Team (Rhino Protection United). One of the guest speakers is a young animal doctor, namely Dr. Elisa from University of Airlangga.
The outputs that will be attained were:
1. Students should be understanding what the importance of conserving flora and fauna as the part of biodiversity of Indonesia is.
2. There is a ceratin area as the cantre of feed stock of Sumatera Rhinoceros in the National Park of Way Kambas.

Nepal is very famous for one horned rhinoceros. The conservation of these beautiful animals should be effectively implemented everywhere in its hot spots.
