Srikandhi is deeply philosophy from Java describing a beautiful woman who has graceful traits in her life. Beyond the story, indeed the above could be drawn by a eco-projects called as Srikandhi Trash Bank, endeavoring to embody three goals. They are to ensure environmental sustainability, to promote gender equality and empower women, to reduce proverty and hunger.

The Srikandhi Trash Bank is a green project built by Syahadah Rizka Anefi and her friends. It was built to settle environmental pollution especially the abundance of non-organic waste. They attempt to attain a MDG?s goals as the mentioned above. According to 3R principles, this project belongs to green project because of the chain of waste utilization who suits to 3R.

Reuse, Reduce and Recycle is the major principles to mitigate exposured waste.  Apparently, the project focuses on the utilization of non-organic waste. For instance plastic and imitation packaging who are converted to be useful materials. It is able to increase the value added of the product obtained from the creativities and faculties.

The committed action of 3R can be describe as follows: 1) Reuse, the utilization of the specific products again. It means this project tries to use again the used materials. 2) Reduce, the alleviation of abundance used materials in the environment because they will pollute the environment so that innovation must be  pegged as soon as possible. 3) Recycle, it intends to obtain the new product from waste.

Yet, the above project under asupices of some national and international institution was recognized as the successful initiative in handling pollution. In addition, it assists the community to attain three pillars of sustainable development including social, economic and environmental benefits. Hopefully, the expected goals could be sustained in the future.
