De!==!--script--==ion The leading factors to ensure sustainability of environment is awareness. Increasing awareness become the most important part because that is the fndamental basic knowledge for someone to help them decide their action. Without a good awareness in environment, people will act as if they not belonging in their environment. Considering this reason, to build youth awareness now become my !==!--object--==ive because I believe that the one who will lead the world in the future is the youth as well. Manggarai Green Ambassador is a colaboration event between Dreamdelion and Indonesia Green Action Forum Eco Project which aims to increase children and youth awareness about environment, build their capacity to be an environment ambassador, enhance their leadership, analythical thinking and creative skill since early. Manggarai green Ambassador 2013 have two main programs, the first one is GreenEcoCreation which fcilitate children and youth creativity through green eco competition. In this competition they will create their own eco friendly reuse garbage, coached by fasilitator, grow up their leadership, communication, team work, and soft skills through fun games, out bond and other activities within two months of the project. The second one is Green Day which will acomodate their creativity through their art sense. In this one day event they will do green activities such as, painting environment message in their T-Shirt, presenting their green eco project, and creating a message into Tree of Hopes for better environment world. The participant from this event are children and youth in Manggarai as the biggest urban slum area in Jakarta. The committee, facilitators and buddies for the participant are coming from Green Community UI, Dreamdelion, and Volunteers. Progress Report Here we go to start our first PRE-Implementation. I?ve open for Call The Volunteers to help me execute this project, since we know this project quite long, tightful and need MANY resources to save the children J So here we go for the awesome details: 1. We change our name to Green Trashivity (Green, Trash and Activity) , because it?s sounds more catchy , so if you wanna help us sounding about this project or wanna know the update, you can just easily search #greentrashivity in your twitter-land :D 2. We have officially 15 Volunteers from different background, major, even University who already committed to help execute this project for one month in May. 3. As the great committee, we want to add more value also to our sincere volunteers, those become the reason we held a one day training last Sunday which we call with Training of Trainer 4. Here all of us will be educated about the core of information needed during session. The first one about how the Trash become people in Manggarai problem with Head of UI Environment Controller Divission, how to handle children with Ikhlasul Amal from Rumah Perubahan Rhenald Khasali, and also ho to reuse trash with your creativity with UI architecture students. 5. This one day training being held in Central Library of University Indonesia, from morning (9.00 am) until noon (4.00 pm). 6. All the volunteers also signed up a comitment letter to us J 7. We ready to celebrate in May together :D
