Abdessamad, I believe having an International Day of Forests is a great idea. It can both promote the importance of environmental sustainability and also provide valuable experiences to ones who actually participated and planted trees by themselves. The youngs who see trees growing as they grow up will recognize its importance and work for greening our Earth. Thanks for posting and have a great day :-)

Wow! This is very nice! Recognizing the role of forest ecosystems in our daily lives is something that every individual should ponder on. The goods and services that a forest can provide such as timbers for construction, non-timber forest products such as essential oils, bamboo, and rattan. Most importantly, the oxygen that we breathe everyday is something that we should really be thankful for. The forest cover of the world is continuously depleting as the demand for forest-derived goods and services is increasing. Hence, with this being said, we should work collectively in order to establish and develop a highly-sustainable environment composed of a vastly-restored/rehabilitated forest lands.

Hi Abdessamad, thanks for posting. Seeing from the photo, the amount of trash thrown away into the woods seems enormous. But I believe, with the education program, not many will do so again, hopefully. Thanks for news from Algeria, appreciate it!
